Manoj began his Pro Kabaddi League career in season 8 after receiving an offer from the NYP category by the Patna Pirates franchise. Patna Pirates paid 7.87 lacs for a talented defender. Manuj did not have a stable start with the Patna Pirates, as he only played one match in PKL season 8, but his dedication and hard work in practice led him to sign with a new team in Pro Kabaddi League season 9- Gujarat Giants.
