- Akash Shinde started his career in 2018 by participating in state-level Kabaddi championships.

- He participated in the Pro Kabaddi League season 9 in 2022, where he played as a left raider for Puneri Paltan team.
- Shinde was a part of the Indian Kabaddi team that won gold medal in the Kabaddi finals at the Asian Games in 2022.
- In 2022, he also particpated in the Senior National Men Kabaddi Championships which was organised in Haryana and his team was announced a runner-up of the tournament.
